HELB at the 16th Symposium HRO CIGRE: 35 years of development and global projects in the power industry
Over the past three decades, HELB has carried out projects in more than 50 countries worldwide and in all regions of Croatia.
By signing a Cooperation Agreement at the Croatian Chamber of Economy on 28th April 2014 HELB joined “Inteligentna energija” Cluster. The basic objective of this business cooperation is to encourage investment into energy projects and create a competitive national entity which will be able to provide a complete service even in most complex energy projects.
“Inteligentna energija” Cluster was founded in 2009 with the purpose of strengthening the national renewable resources and energy efficiency industry. Only this year it has gained 10 new members and now has 21 members in total – 19 companies, 1 trade business and 1 faculty. Member companies have 650 employees and a total revenue of 690 million kn in 2013, 50% of which was in export, and 14 companies are manufacturers of equipment and systems. “Inteligentna energija” Cluster is also active in promoting and using renewable energy resources, improvement of energy efficiency in Croatia, promotion of export, education and specialization.
In addition, the cluster has been recognised by the Entrepreneurship, Innovations and Technological Development Centre at the Croatian Chamber of Economy as one of the best Croatian clusters. It has been benchmarked by the Centre as part of the EU SEENECO project to determine the advantages and the disadvantages of the cluster and the data gathered by this is used to improve the performance of the cluster.
“Inteligentna energija” Cluster has been awarded the “Bronze label of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative (ECEI)”, the purpose of which is to visually differentiate clusters and to provide a tool for self-estimation of clusters.
