Innovation vouchers for Small and Medium Enterprises

The number of prosumers is continuously increasing. They, apart from their usual role of a buyer of electricity, can offer additional services to the system operator such as production and storage of electricity, as well as consumption and production regulation. The resulting transition towards smart grids entails numerous technical challenges which makes it necessary to conduct research for the optimal platform that will perform simulations of all the relevant parameters. The project goal is to analyze and compare the possibilities of commercially available application solutions and open-source programs for transmission and distribution grid parameters calculation with the purpose of examining the availability of new grid users’ connections.

Project results will lay the ground for steering towards an innovative way of conducting power system numerical calculations essential for services provided by the applicant.

The project is co-funded by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
